About us

We are a small, independent nano brewery based in Matlock, Derbyshire. Run by a father and son brewing team with a shared obsession for great beer.

We’ve been brewing together since 2021, but officially launched Butt Heads Brew Co in January 2026. Our focus is simple: quality ingredients, modern brewing techniques and flavour forward beers - with a particular love for hop forward craft styles.

We brew in small batches, producing cask, keg and 440ml canned beers, from hoppy pales and IPAs to darker, maltier styles and everything in between. Our beers are currently stocked in Matlock and the surrounding area, as well as Chesterfield and Derby.

Things are moving quickly, and we’ve recently taken another big step forward with the purchase of new brewing equipment that will triple our brewhouse capacity. We’re currently installing the new kit, which will give us the opportunity to brew more beer, experiment with new styles and, hopefully get Butt Heads beers into even more places.

For now, we’re still brewing alongside our full-time jobs in the building industry, but our goal is to keep growing Butt Heads Brew Co and eventually make brewing beer our full-time gig.
